Doily Stencil
Another fun and easy background technique is created by using a doily, this one is done with the Square Vellum Doilies, page 153 from the current catalog (see below), the Blending Brushes and Magenta Madness Stampin' Ink. Since the doily isn't large enough to cover the full length of the card, I colored the top section first and then moved the doily to the bottom and repeated the process. Quick and easy!! Just add the rest of the embellishments and a greeting and you are done!!

Blending Brushes Technique
Have you seen the new Blender Brushes but not sure how to use them?
I created an easy background with three colors - Night of Navy, Gorgeous Grape and Costal Cabana. Then added a few layers with embossed dragonflies and some rhinestones and ribbon.
The possibilities with these brushes is unlimited.
Check out my video to see how I made this easy background.
If you are interested in any of the products used to make these cards, click on the links below and you will be directed to my Stampin' Up! store. Don't forget - if you spend $50 worth of product now through the end of February, you qualify for FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Dragonfly Garden SNEAK PEAK
One of the new stamps set coming out in the January to June Mini Catalog is the Dragonfly Garden. I just love the creative nature looks you can create with this pretty set. Don't you just love the matching DSP?
Add some embossed cardstock and some gold twine for a beautiful compliment!
There are even cute little metal ladybugs you can add to your cards!
