Double Z-Fold Card with Strawberries

This stamp set is a BIG hit in the current January - July Catalog!  I used the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and coordinating punch with some of the Sale-a-Bration DSP to create this fun double Z-Fold card.

The card base measures: 4 1/4" x11", scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2".

The second layer measures: 3 1/4" x 9" and is scored at 3" and 6 ".

The DSP and white layers are a 1/4" smaller.

Assembly is easiest when you fold the card base to it's 'closed' position and slide in the 3" x 3" folded piece in between the top and bottom section.  While there, lift the 3" x 31/4" square and add adhesive to the left side of the back of this square.  

Flip the card over and do the same for the back portion of the 3" x 31/4" piece.  This one gets adhesive on the whole square.

Always In My Heart

 

Another color option to use with this pretty set. 

For this idea, I die cut the floral heart in both black and Gorgeous Grape  cardstock.  I just added the cut out pieces for the flowers in the opposite color and glued them into the spaces of the black base.  It is easiest if you glue the black base onto a piece of cardstock, I used white; then add in your grape pieces.

Another part of the dies that are included in this set is a group of the three flowers, shown here in the Gorgeous Grape accents.  This works perfectly for not wasting very much cardstock.

Here is the same design, just using the opposite colors and a different background embossed layer.

Just image all the possibilities you can create with different colors using this beautiful set!

Anniversary Greetings

 

There are so many cute options to make with this beautiful set - Always In My Heart and the gorgeous Love You Always DSP.  This specialty DSP foil paper is so striking and doesn't need a whole lot of extra's to make your cards beautiful!

Adding an extra layer of Smokey Slate and using the Stitched Rectangles dies gives this a little different look.  Which do you like better?  With or without the Slate?

What I LOVE about this set is that the dies come with this banner piece that you fold in two places to give it that three dimensional look!  Just add some dimensionals behind the largest area to support it.

This stamp set comes with a greeting for either 'Happy Anniversary' or 'Be My Valentine'.  The other greetings included in this set can used to make a card for that special friend.  Or change it up with a Happy Birthday greeting instead.

Doily Stencil

 Another fun and easy background technique is created by using a doily, this one is done with the Square Vellum Doilies, page 153 from the current catalog (see below), the Blending Brushes and Magenta Madness Stampin' Ink.  Since the doily isn't large enough to cover the full length of the card, I colored the top section first and then moved the doily to the bottom and repeated the process.  Quick and easy!!  Just add the rest of the embellishments and a greeting and you are done!!
