So, what is a Slim Line card?
A Slim Line card is a longer rectangle card that fits inside a Legal Sized Envelope or a #10 (if you are familiar with that!) With this larger sized card, you'll have more room to write a bit more inside the card. Or you could use it as a money/check holder for that special someone!
Normally all the cards I make are considered an A4 size card-meaning it is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" in size, this Slim Line card is 3 3/4" x 8" in size.
This new die cut set from Stampin' Up! features two different designs. First, I will feature the Chevron Style die. It has a series of V's that cut out multiple chevrons to create a unique look.
I decided to cut this out of DSP and add a narrow strip of a coordinating DSP behind every other cut out. The stamp set that comes in this bundle (see below) has a great 'Happy Birthday'. Bold and blocky! Very easy to heat emboss and have it really pop and make a statement!
This card features the DSP "Beauty of the Earth" and Old Olive Cardstock.
This Pumpkin Pie cardstock card also features the DSP "Beauty of the Earth" and the Misty Moonlight cardstock for a striking contrast. I just love how orange and blue work so well together!
If you look closely at the bottom edge of this card you may see that the card base is white cardstock with a layer of Crushed Curry that has a fun scalloped edge. This scalloped edge is also part of the Slim Card Dies set! I've heat embossed the word 'enjoy' from the Slim Sayings stamp set in silver to give this card a bit of glitz!
My last sample from this bundle is using another sheet of DSP from "Beauty of the Earth" and an different complimentary cardstock color - Merry Merlot.

Very nice. Hard to pick a fave cuz I like them all. Gonna go with the Pumpkin Pie/Misty Moonlight.
