Isn't this little otter just the cutest thing???!!!

He is from the newest Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration catalog and you can get him for FREE with the purchase of $50 in the catalog now through the end of February.  Check out my link at the bottom of the page.

Now...for the details of how to make this cute little gift card holder.
You will need:

Main cardstock base: 4 1/4" x 11"; scored at 3 1/4" & 8 3/4"
Another piece of same color as base: 2 1/2' x 3 3/4"
White cardstock: 3 3/4" x 6"; scored at 1/2" and 5"
White cardstock scrap about 4" x 6"
DSP: 3" x 3 1/4"
1 3/4" x 3 3/4"
1" x 3 3/4"
Silver foil or other shiny paper or ribbon: 1/4" x 3 3/4"
Ribbon: 14"

Also needed:
Tear-n-tape
Stitched So Sweetly dies or something similar
Larger Dimensionals
a Paper Trimmer and an embossing machine

To get you started, fold in the two flaps of the card base into the center of the card.  Glue the larger piece of DSP to the INSIDE of the top flap.  Glue the medium sized piece of DSP to the OUTSIDE of the bottom flap.
Fold the two ends of the larger, scored white cardstock, one to the bottom and one to the top.  On the larger folded edge, glue just the sides down, creating a pocket.  Take the extra piece of matching base cardstock. Run it through an embossing folder then glue it down to the top of the pocket you just created.  Make sure the bottom and sides are aligned.  Glue the Silver foil or ribbon strip near the top edge of the pocket.  Take the short folded end of this white cardstock pocket, add Tear N' Tape to the folded edge and adhere it to the inside of the top folded edge, do not cover the crease of the fold, glue it just to the edge of the fold so the flap will close completely.

Fold up the bottom flap, covering the pocket section.  Wrap and tie the ribbon length around this flap (do not glue down the flap/pocket).  Slide the ribbon so it is about 1/4" from the top edge of the pocket.  Adhere a design element of some type with some dimensionals near the bottom edge ONLY of this element, grabbing the ribbon in the dimensionals.  I have used a cut out of an otter.

Glue the last small piece of DSP onto the top flap of the outside of the gift card holder.  Align it to 1/8" from top and sides.
Die cut a large rectangle using the white cardstock piece.  I used the second largest shape from 'Stitched So Sweetly'.  Stamp a greeting onto this piece of cardstock.  Add three dimensionals to the top back edge of this rectangle.  Add three more dimensionals to the bottom edge of the top flap of the holder where this greeting will go.  Make sure the cardstock greeting piece hangs over the edge of the flap.  This will 'tuck' under the design element on the front edge of the holder to keep the card closed.

Thanks for checking out this gift card holder.  I CASED it from my demo friend Karen Phillips.  Thanks for such a cute card!!
